Over the past several years, Armor Demolition has successfully delivered a wide range of commercial demolition and soft strip projects across New Zealand, building strong relationships with leading contractors and developers.

Recent key projects include the ongoing weathertight remedial works at Oaks Shores Queenstown for Brosnan (2021–2025), where Armor Demolition has carried out extensive soft strip and demolition works. The team is also currently involved in the refurbishment of Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown for Brosnan (2024–Current), delivering detailed interior soft strip and demolition services within a live hospitality environment.

Additional hospitality projects include bathroom soft strip works at DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown for Brosnan in 2023. In the industrial and large-scale demolition sector, Armor completed demolition works at KiwiRail Hillside in Dunedin for Taggart Earthmoving in 2023, followed by the demolition of a brick building at 121 Great King Street, Dunedin in 2025.

Current heritage and institutional works include soft strip services at the Canterbury Museum for Leighs Construction. Armor has also completed numerous bank refurbishment soft strips throughout Canterbury, including multiple Westpac branches (Eastgate, Hornby, Merivale, Papanui, Rolleston, The Palms, Halswell and Riccarton) along with Kiwibank branches in Hornby and Riccarton.

Further commercial projects include soft strip works at Ara Institute for Armitage Williams, as well as demolition and flooring removal works for Coffee Culture Rangiora completed in 2025 for CW Construction.

I have worked with Armor Demolition for several years over various sized and complex projects. As always with Demolition there is significant hazards created during site works. I have always found Tim and his crew to be extremely diligent with Job Safety Analysis and Safe Work Method Statements. The Staff onsite have been well trained to create and/or adjust their own plans as they go also. This is a huge bonus as a Main Contractor to know this side of the site works is handled diligently.

I will continue to use Armor Demolition for all our Demolition works going forward. When it comes to soft strip-out options in Christchurch, there really is no other option….
